Save the downloaded copy
When the result appears, use Download if it did not start automatically. Check the browser’s downloads list and your device’s downloads or files folder.
If a preview opens, use the viewer’s share or save options. The exact location depends on the browser and operating system; confirm you have a copy before closing.
When you receive a ZIP
Splitting into several blocks or saving both odd/even groups can create a ZIP. Open it in your files application and extract PDFs before sending them separately.
If you only need one PDF containing a few sheets, use Extract instead of splitting into several files.
Recover a result that seems missing
The download button works while the page stays open and you have not changed files or settings. No copy is saved on our servers.
If you closed or reloaded the tab, select the original and process again. For large documents, use a smaller batch and avoid switching applications during processing.
- Select Download again on the result page.
- Check the downloads list and open the file.
- Review pages and filename before sharing.
- Keep the original until the copy is confirmed saved.
Criteria for reviewing and delivering the result
Distinguish file generation, downloading and its final location on the device. An available result on the page does not mean it has been saved in a folder. Use the download action and inspect the appropriate browser panel or file application. Specific controls differ across systems, so verification should locate the actual file rather than rely on every phone displaying an identical message. The saved copy is what matters for later use.
Open the file from its saved location and inspect its first page and sheet count. With similarly named downloads, identify the newly generated version before attaching it to email or an upload form. Extract a ZIP to use its PDFs; sending the archive may fail a single document requirement. Store a copy appropriately before closing the tab. On devices with limited memory or storage, process a smaller collection and verify download completion. A brief fictitious sample helps you learn the browser’s workflow without risking an important delivery through confusion about file location. Reopening from storage confirms a more complete result than merely observing that a download button appeared on screen.
Practice with a small ZIP download
On your phone, load the three-page sample in Split PDF. Choose Page ranges and enter 1,2-3.
You get a ZIP with a one-page PDF and a two-page PDF. Save the ZIP and extract it using your file application.
Open both extracted PDFs before sharing. File-manager names and menus vary by device; retaining the ZIP lets you extract it again.
