One selection, one copy
Extraction creates a single PDF containing the pages you enter. Use it to send a chapter, keep a receipt or prepare a summary from scattered pages.
Omitted pages are excluded from the copy but remain in the original. To create a separate file for each block, use Split.
Pages, ranges and repetitions
1,3,7 selects three sheets; 2-5 includes pages 2, 3, 4 and 5; 1,3,7-9 combines both formats. The first physical sheet is 1, even if its printed number differs.
Your written order is preserved: 5,1,2 places page five first. The selection 1,2,2,3 repeats the second sheet.
- Load the PDF and check its total.
- Enter your selection with commas and hyphens, using existing page numbers.
- Create the copy and check its first and last pages.
- Verify repetitions and keep the original until you finish.
Compatibility and privacy
Processing takes place locally. An encrypted, damaged or very heavy file may not open.
Check interactive elements and signatures after copying pages. Extraction does not automatically update tables of contents or references written inside the document.
Criteria for reviewing and delivering the result
A selection of several sheets needs a reading criterion. Identify which pages answer the request and whether any depend on explanations outside their range. Do not rely solely on printed numbers because covers and contents pages can shift positions. Note a title or reference phrase beside each selected page. This lets you check the result even when a different source version uses another numbering sequence or includes additional preliminary pages.
The download should contain a fragment the recipient can understand independently. Inspect the beginning and end of each selection and review names, dates and tables. Perform a separate ordering review if its arrangement needs changing; extraction does not rewrite references printed on pages. A new PDF can lose source context even when every sheet looks correct. Retain the original and position notes for later scope changes. If several independent files are subsequently requested, split deliberately rather than manually duplicating the selection without reviewing each delivery’s boundaries. The practical test is whether the requested information is present, correctly ordered and sufficiently explained in the copy being sent.
Select nonconsecutive sheets
Load the three-page sample and enter 3,1. This selects the last sheet and then the cover.
You get one two-page PDF in order 3,1 rather than two separate downloads. Sample labels let you verify both positions.
Enter 1,3 to retain natural order. If the result reader displays different printed numbers, distinguish those numbers from the physical positions you selected.
