How to extract a single page from a PDF

Save a receipt or specific sheet as a standalone PDF and check its physical position.

Use its position in the file

To save the fourth sheet, enter 4. Count from the first physical sheet, including the cover; a number printed inside the contents may differ.

Extracting one sheet is more direct than splitting the entire document and searching among many outputs.

Save only what is needed

Create a receipt copy to share without attaching the remaining case file. Check that the chosen sheet includes everything needed, such as a date or the back of a form.

  1. Load the PDF and wait for its page count.
  2. Enter one valid page number.
  3. Create and download the new copy.
  4. Open it and confirm that it contains exactly the expected sheet.

Originals and special elements

The original stays intact and processing is local. If the sheet needs context from another page, use a selection such as 4,5 to keep them together.

Check links, annotations and forms in the output. Copying a page from a signed document does not guarantee its signature remains valid.

Criteria for reviewing and delivering the result

Identify an isolated sheet by content before selecting its position. Compare its title or main detail with the recipient’s request and check whether printed numbering matches the viewer. A cover can shift that correspondence. If relevant information spans two sheets, consider whether providing only one creates an incomplete explanation. The desire for a small attachment should not remove context essential to understanding it. Selection begins with the requested information rather than an assumed number.

Confirm the download contains exactly the intended selection and read its full content. Inspect names, dates and references before attaching. Extracting a complete page does not remove other regions when only one part should be shared; use an appropriate procedure and review information remaining visible. Keep the source and selected position for later location. A revised record may move the sheet while retaining its title. Identify it again by content for a later extraction instead of automatically reusing the previous number. Useful control combines accurate selection with review of the actual file sent, including enough context for a reader who has never seen the larger record.

TRY IT YOURSELF

Save only the second sheet

Load the three-page PDF and enter only 2 in selection.

You get a one-page PDF labeled A2. It downloads directly as a PDF without a ZIP.

The sheet becomes the copy’s first position, but its internal A2 label stays unchanged. Check whether context from A1 or A3 is also needed.
