Choose the right position
The reference is a page in the loaded document, not a future position. To add a sheet at the beginning, select 1 and insert before. At the end of a 12-page PDF, select 12 and insert after.
If chapters end at 3,7,11, select these references and insert after. Insertions do not replace any original sheet.
Dimensions and quantity
Each blank sheet matches its reference’s dimensions and orientation. A PDF mixing A4, Letter and landscape appendices can produce differently sized blank sheets; this is intentional.
- Load the PDF and check its total.
- Enter reference numbers or ranges, such as 1,4,8-10.
- Choose before or after and 1 to 10 sheets per reference.
- Download and inspect positions, dimensions and total in your viewer’s thumbnails.
Limits and differences
Insertion creates empty sheets; duplication repeats existing contents. Grids, ruled lines, form fields and numbers are not added.
Repeated references count as one position. Outputs support up to 500 pages. Printed numbers are not updated: number the final document after insertion. The original remains intact and processing is local.
Criteria for reviewing and delivering the result
Plan separators around the document’s physical layout. If a chapter should start on the right, inspect its side before insertion and afterwards. A facing page view helps only when it corresponds to the intended printing settings. One blank can change the parity of everything that follows, so a local insertion decision requires reviewing the beginnings of later sections as well. Record which chapter starts the separator is meant to control.
Identify every added page in the download and compare its dimensions with neighbouring sheets. Verify that note space appears where useful rather than merely at a valid form position. Print a short trial when paper is the final medium. Retain a note of intentional separators and an unseparated digital reading version when appropriate. If updated content changes a chapter’s sheet count, check all subsequent beginnings again. The required number of blanks can differ between revisions even when section titles stay unchanged. Reviewing actual section positions is therefore more informative than copying the previous version’s separator count without inspecting the updated document.
A divider after the second sheet
Load the sample, select page 2, choose After and enter one blank sheet.
The PDF has four pages: A1,A2,blank sheet,A3. The divider matches its reference’s A4 size.
The divider has no label or new number. If numbering afterward, remember that the blank sheet occupies a position too.
