Count from the first sheet

The cover is physical page 1 even if it has no printed number. The selection 2,4-6 removes sheet two and sheets four through six.

Other pages remain in their original order. At least one must remain; a PDF with no sheets cannot be created.

Create and inspect the copy

Use Extract when keeping only a few sheets from a long document: listing wanted pages may be simpler than listing every unwanted page.

1. Load the document and check its total.
2. Enter positions to remove.
3. Process and open the download.
4. Check deletion boundaries and confirm all required appendices remain.

The original is not deleted

A new local copy is created and the original stays on your device. Keep both until review is complete.

Deleting entire sheets does not redact data within a page. It may also leave outdated contents or references: review them and number pages after finalizing the sequence.

Criteria for reviewing and delivering the result

An exclusion selection must start from the correct file version. A new cover or appendix can make earlier positions unsuitable. Note identifying content for every sheet to remove and check it in thumbnails or the viewer. If a page looks empty, consider whether it separates sections for printing. Removing it can change the physical side on which later sections begin. That layout consequence matters even when the visible content itself seems unnecessary.

Inspect new joins in the download and read the previous page’s final sentence followed by the next page’s opening. A broken explanation requires correcting the selection even if the file opens successfully. Review contents and written references, which are not updated automatically. Confirm the total matches intended exclusions and retain the removal list with the source. Recover selections from that source when delivery requirements change. Removing whole sheets is not a complete personal information cleanup tool; inspect metadata and other regions when controlling shared information is the actual purpose. Check the copy being attached, particularly when several edited versions with different exclusions are present in the same folder.
