Format and readability
JPG often suits photos and scans; PNG works well for sharp screenshots and graphics. WebP converts before embedding. Each image becomes one document page.
Zoom in to check that text is readable. Converting a blurry photo to PDF cannot recover details or make its text selectable.
Order and page dimensions
Original size preserves each image’s proportions on its own sheet. A4 fits the image inside a standard sheet with a small margin and can simplify printing.
For A4, choose portrait, landscape or automatic orientation per image. The file list is the final sequence: cover first, then contents and appendices.
- Add supported images and wait for them to load.
- Correct photo orientation if needed and reorder the list with arrow buttons.
- Choose dimensions and orientation.
- Download and check readability, order and margins.
Transparency and memory
WebP converts with a white background. For transparent images, inspect the resulting PDF background instead of assuming all formats preserve it identically.
High-resolution photos consume memory. Reduce the batch or use smaller copies if your device slows down. Conversion is local and original images stay intact.
Criteria for reviewing and delivering the result
Review every shot before selecting photographs for a document. Identify its subject, orientation and readability of relevant details. Retake a shadowed or blurred page when possible. A PDF container improves delivery and sequence but does not correct those defects. Prepare consistent crops and avoid unrelated objects that distract or reveal information not intended for distribution. Source preparation should be completed before judging the generated document.
Arrange the list according to the recipient’s reading needs. The first picture should introduce the collection and the last complete the intended material. Compare output count with image count and enlarge important details on each page. For print, inspect proportion, orientation and fitting to paper because differently shaped images can occupy different areas. Keep sources with sequence notes so a shot can be replaced without recovering it from an older PDF. Prepare real text or a separate OCR workflow when selectable words are required; changing the delivery format does not create that property. Verify the file attached to the submission after any replacement, since several versions may look similar in a folder.
A wide graphic on an A4 sheet
Load the 400 × 200 px image. Choose A4 and landscape orientation before converting.
You get a one-page landscape A4 PDF, approximately 297 × 210 mm. The graphic retains its 2:1 proportions inside the margins.
Open it and compare red and blue halves. Page and image have different proportions, so empty space remains without distorting the graphic.
